Space Center vol.2

Yesterday, I said there are only few attraction in Houston and I felt bored, but I couldn't pass up this when I came here.

"Johnson Space Center"

Last week I went to Kennedy space Center in Orlando, I visited this Space Center without a break.

Taking a bus from downtown Houston for 1 hour, I got Johnson Space Center.

Getting off the bus, this space shuttle welcomed me.

Immediately, I headed to the ticket station.

Yesterday I got a discount voucher in Houston Visitor's Center, so I could enter cheaper than others.

$22.95 → $17.95  ($5 discount!)

At 11:00, what exhibition do I see first??

??

"Show By Astronaut From 11:00"

I should go here!

He explained NASA generally from Mercury Program to Space Shuttle.

His talk was very interesting for me.

After that I saw timeline of NASA.

I saw real Command Module that used in Apollo 17.

I saw a lot of Moon rock.

Well, this is the main attraction in this space center.

"NASA TRAM TOUR"

I could enter and see precious areas!!

When I came here, I was so excited!!

This is the control center!

They used to stay all day long here while Apollo project.

"Pi~ Pi~ This is Houston~~~"

Then I was surprised about that an iPhone or digital camera we use now works much better that the total of these computers.

So if we have same equipment as Apollo, we might go to the Moon with this iPhone.

Excited!

Conversely, there are much genius mathmaticians & physicists in front of these computers.

This is a training center which is used now.

There are a lot of model that are same size as International Space Station (ISS).

I found Japanese experiment object "Kibo (hope in Japanese)".

Final stop is Saturn V center.

There are actual Apollo rocket!

They were repaired after launching and exhibited.

I saw also real engine.

F1 engine in the left and J2 engine in the right.

This is the passage from escalator to space shuttle.

I can't write all of the things because there are too many things to see.

Finally, I can say that there are infinite exploration of the space unless our inquiring mind is run out.

Not only in the space, but also in any other fields of science.

This is scientific mind.
