Science & Art @ 47th Day

Although it is rarely rainy in Los Angeles, today it was rainy.

Until rain stopped, I had waited in the cafe "Primera taza Coffee House."

It was early morning (9:00am), there is only 2 customers in the cafe including me.

Today's sightseeing concept is science & art!

Before that I stopped by Chinatown.

The metro station is also like China atmosphere.

This is the main road in China Town.

They always have a special gate in the town.

China Town is much bigger than Japan Town, Little Tokyo.

And this seems much interesting for me because I can see real Chinese people's life.

I found one of their life, Chinese chess.

I heard about Chinese chess from Chinese friend, Kui, it really similar to Japanese chess, shogi (将棋).

Some pieces work exactly same as Japanese one.

Here, I had lunch.

Today's menu is beef & tofu,  rice, and soup.

They serve a lot!! About for 1.5~2 people!!

And this costs only $7.00 !?!?!?

So cheap!

It was delicious!!

I like Chinese food~~♪♪

Because I don't want to leave some of them, I ate all.

Later, I regretted.

I got sleepy and don't wanna move due to full stomach....

With a little stomachache, I went to California Science Center.

The purpose I came here is, you know, to see Endeavour!!

I seem to like aerospace, because this is the 4th place about air & space or NASA.

1. National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC
2. Kennedy Space Center in Orlando
3. Johnson Space Center in Houston
and
4. California Science Center in Los Angeles today!

I haven't seen a real space shuttle so I was excited!!

This brick has been to space for 25 times without any trouble...

As think about that, it is an amazing thing.

There, I found another interesting thing.

Different from my expectation, I am a very cold person...

After that, I went to Museum of Natural History, but it was almost closed...

I can't take a scrutiny with only 20 min, so I gave up~~

At the same time as Science Center, I wanted to see this...

When I was about to go back to the hostel, I stopped by Los Angeles Times Company.

There is a small exhibition room.

Today they print newspaper by using computers, but until 1978, they used this machine.

Some people type letters and this machine makes backward sentences.

After, many people put this sentences into metal plate like this.

They made metal plates for all pages 3 times a day!?!?

It was surprising!!

I heard if there were mistakes, they had to make new plate or decided to print wrong one.

Well, it's art time!

Actually, I booked LA Phil concert yesterday for $23!!

This is beautiful Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Today's program is Morzart Piano Concerto and Beethoven's 5th.

Like the outside, inside is also very beautiful.

Moreover my seat is good seat, the 1st row in the rear.

I heard next person bought a ticket for $60!

I bought in a last minute, so I paid only $23.

I felt further benefit in this moment.

The concert is....♪♪♪♪

I wanna come here again!
