Huge Grand Canyon @ 42nd Day

At 6:00am, I arrived at Flagstaff by Greyhound Bus.

It was about 20 °F (-5℃)....

Unfortunately bus terminal was closed and I have to wait outside to catch a local bus for 1 hour...

I was about to freeze...



In the morning, I put my luggage in the hostel and rent a car in Flagstaff.

Well, my drive started~~

Of course my destination is... "GRAND CANYON."

It is about 70 miles far from Flagstaff to Grand Canyon.


At first I drove forests area.

Suddenly the view became open.

Umm.. I could see something like volcano over there!

At length, I arrived Grand Canyon!

Here I paid $25 for entrance fee.

And this is the first sight!!

This is bigger than expected.

I can't tell in words.

Rather, I can't come up with words when I see this.

I said only "Woooooooooooowwwwww~~"

Compared to this nature, I am like an ant.

Even being an ant, I wanted to challenge against this!!

I shouted!!

"Yahhhhoooooooo~~~~"

There is no answer (no echo)...

I did think I am small.

There is an another challenge!!

Walk and walk!

I walked paved rim like this.

Sometimes I found danger path like this.

This is slippy because snow becomes ice.

It was scary way for me. Of course I slipped here...

At that time, I found wild animal ~~

This is the last point today.

I started walking from the edge over there.

I walked over 6 miles (10km), but there is still rock in front of me...

There I took a picture of myself with self timer function.

Well, let's get back to the hostel!

OMG!

The battery was dead....

Around me, there is none. I wanted to call my rental car company, but this is no signal area.

I decided to stay here all night long at that time...

Too cold even in inside of the car...

Night sky is beautiful~~

2 hours later, police officer found me and I could go back to Flagstaff.

Today I had nice experience about the park and the car.
