Driving in the Mountains @ 38th Day

Well, let's start going!!

To nature!!

Immediately, I rented a compact car like this.

Today, my plan is Rocky Mountains National Park!

It must be exciting!!

On the way to go there, I saw like this.

Now I arrived at Boulder.

I heard Boulder is a beautiful city from the hostel staff in Dallas.

This city is near mountain, so I can see mountains bigger.

Here I took a rest; walking in the city, drinking coffee eating lunch (only 1 croissant... poor lunch).

I took picture of downtown with back of mountains.

Wandering around for 1 hour, I restarted driving.

Gradually, the altitude went up.

The view around the road also change bit by bit.

There are only a few cars running this road.

I thought this the reason is that it's winter season and very cold now (-5 °F = -20℃).

It was nice because I can drive slowly and enjoy seeing around.

I will almost arrive at the park!!

I found some posts along the road.

These are unique, not like posts in the city.

The post officer must be hard to come such a far place.

Finally, I got Rocky Mountain National Park!!

Whew~~

??

But I didn't see any cars in the parking and anyone in the office.

Then I realized that today the park is closed due to snow.

My 2.5 hours driving has gone....

When I thought there is more beautiful view beyond this point, it was a little disappointing.

However I enjoyed driving on the way.

In return, I drove different road.

Around boulder area, livestock is popular industry.

Some horses are lay down on the ground.

Near Boulder there is also a mountain park, so I stopped by there.

Although Boulder Mountain is not so big, the scenery from the park was beautiful.

The land lasts until horizon.

I could see buildings of Denver.

You can't see with this pictures.

Totally I drove 5 hours today.

It was a wonderful drive for me.
