Yes I did the same thing the day before yesterday.
There is no hostel in Kansas City, so I didn't have any place to sleep.
Compared to hostel, hotel is extremely expensive.
Hostel --- $25/day
Hotel --- at least $60/day
I realized while sleeping in the bus terminal that I would die if I stay here.
It is under 0℃, which water become ice.
In the morning, I searched hotel and went there soon.
It cost nearly $80!?!?
Very expensive...
But I don't have any other way except choosing hotel.

In the evening, I got up and went out to eat and see the city.
