I was almost in Mexico @ 49th Day

Where I went first today is American-Mexican border.

It's only 15mi from San Diego!

Beyond that 1 story building you see under the pedestrian bridge, it's already Mexico~~

I looked from only outside of border area.

If possible, I wanted to go to Mexico, but once I entered Mexico, I can't come back to the US.

It means I can't go back to my country!


In this area, there are big shopping mall and several duty free shops.

What I bought in the duty free shop is....

a Kit Kat!! Not alcohol, a cigarette, a watch, or a bag..., but a Kit Kat!

I don't know why but I paid tax...


After that I went to Midway Museum.

 

Yesterday a hostel staff recommended me this museum.

He said this is a must-go place in San Diego.

There are a lot of aircraft in the roof.
 
Some of them are used in battle of Midway.

For Japanese, it is mortifying battle in WW2.


When I saw the opposite side, I could see whole San Diego business district.

 

In downstairs, there are several explanations about the ship.

Here is cafeteria.

I heard crew always eat same things in the ship...

I can't do that...

To be honest, this museum is not exciting for me.

It is different from my interest.

That's because I don't support army actually, because I hate battle however it is.

It might be good for me that I rethink about peace.


In the lunch time, I went to Seaport Village near Midway Museum.

This is a nice place for sightseeing.

There are a lot of places to eat, go shopping, walk and relax.

The best thing is atmosphere!

This is the village along the bay area, so birds also come here for the same reason as us.

It is now taking a rest~~

The next destination is here!
 

It seems like mosque or something, but this is a museum!

This is also where I wanted to come.

About us, man including both anthropology and archaeology!

For me, evolution to homo sapiens is one of the most interesting field. 

I am curious how we have evolved such as using voice.

 

Umm, almost everything is not new for me...

I wanted more critical comment...


In other rooms are about Maya and Egyptian ancient culture.

Maya is almost new for me, so even small room, I spent a lot here.

Especially Maya prediction about world end is much fun for me~~

This museum is located in Balboa Park which is like Washington DC mall.

It contains bunch of places to see.

I will come here tomorrow again.

Then I'm thinking about wandering around in the park~~
