Old Town St. Louis

Bus terminal is “very nice place” to stay!

Did I sleep well??

Of course, NO!

In the morning, I went to the hostel to keep my luggage.

Behind of this gate, there is office.

This hostel is like a place to hide because there is no big sign in front of this hostel.

When I became relieved, I went to the city of St. Louis.

The city is like this

Every building is made of bricks. This is old city.

Bush Stadium, where St. Louis Cardinals plays, is over there.

Before sightseeing, I needed to eat!!

I found Panera Bread that is my favorite café in DC.

Here St. Louis is headquarter of Panera!

I haven’t eaten this chowder

After eating, I started sightseeing.

These areas are the main sightseeing places of today.

The building was used as a coat house and became historical museum.

St. Louis station used to be one of the most busiest station in the US because this is the entrance to the West.

After this, I went under the Arch.

I realized that this arch is very big!!

Near the Arch, there is Mississippi River.

This goes to New Orleans…

It is much longer than Japanese river.

Over the river, it is Illinois, where Chicago is located.

I couldn’t see Chicago~~.

Different from my expectation, Illinois.

There is nothing to see in the opposite side of this river…

After that, I went to Forest Park.

I heard this park is bigger than Central Park in NYC.

Here I entered another historical museum.

Missouri History Museum

In this park, World Exposition was held in 1904.

Mmm~~

At that time, Japan also attended this EXPO.

I see.

Next corner is civil movement.

Similar to  other Southern states, there were also a lot of events in Missouri.

Every time I see pictures about civil movement, my heart hurts.

I can't imagine these tough situation in current era.

At last, I saw industry in St. Louis.

What is this??

This is tank used for beer brewing.

In St. Louis, Budwiser was born!!

Wow~~

So I decided to go Budwiser tomorrow!!
